I will be setting up call accounting software to Merlin Legend SMDR port. I am not sure what I would need to program on the Legend side of things. Any ideas?

Depends on what you want to capture.

Out going calls are set default to not count until 40 seconds have elasped. (I think)

And I believe the default setting is OUT ONLY, so if you want to see in & out, you gotta change that.

If you're setting up call accounting, you'll need the 355AF adapture, and merlinman's right, you should have to change the in&out setting under SMDR. You can also adjust the outgoing call length to less than 40 sec.'s. I bring mine down to 10.

Thanks for the info. I did not realize you needed a 355AF adapter. They were going to use a RS232 adapter.

Also, if you are more than 50 Feet away from the Control Unit, or your SMDR DEVICE IS NOT CONNECTED to the SAME POWER OUTLET AS THE CONTROL UNIT, you should have ADU's as well.

These are required to protect the Conntrol Unit and the SMDR gizmo electrically.
