Hi friends,
I'm a beginner in Oracle Form. I'm using Dev6i and Oracle 8i.
My problem is:
I have a button in my form and I would like to launch a connection to Internet when I press this button.
I used
Web.Show_document('but it didn't work.
Do you have any idea to do this thing?
Thanks alot for your help.

Are you on a client or is the form running on the web? Web.show_document will not work on a client session.

My solution is to use the d2kwutil package to read the default browser from the registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\command, then make a call to that passing the URL as a parameter. The d2kwutil package also includes a shell exec command.

Hi Iewisp,
I didn't see this package on my computer. Where can I get it and how to use it?
Many thank for your advices.

Hmm. Its usually shipped with the forms developer.

However, you can download it from ftp://oracle-ftp.oracle.com/dev_tools/patchsets/dev2k/Win95NT/d2kwutil/
