Call a script from a url

Hi,
I need to call a script (sub) on a page from a menu on the same page.
The menu only allows me to enter a url.
Is there any way I can embed a call to a sub procedure in a url?

The menu is a java applet. (I don't have access to it's code)

The script is vbscript on the client side but can also be javascript.
