Hi all,

Is it possible to call a SQL server function from a crystal report and pass in an NT login ? This is because I need to limit access to data - where an NT login/username is needed.

I am not sure how I would do this? Can Crystal pick up an Nt login or can this only be via a .NET interface.

I am using CR XI Server.

Thanks

Crystal doesn't provide this functionality but you can create a User Function Library (UFL) that returns this information.

Alternatively, use a 3rd party tool (see a list at:
My "CUT Light" UFL provides a function for returning the Windows User ID. You could use a formula in the main report that returns this information and pass it as a link to a subreport that would use it as a parameter against your data source.
