We have a Avaya Definity S8500

On our campus we have 2 buildings connected by fiber. The switch is in one building and it has 3 cabinets. In the other building we only have 2 cabinets.

We are installing a tornado alarm and the way we are configuring it is we dial an extension and that kicks off a tone and that tone is sent to our overhead paging system. Since we have the 2 buildings, we have setup 2 analog extensions and should we need to sound the alarm, we will need to dial 2 extensions.

Would like to configure this so we only have to dial one extension to have the tone played in both buildings. Is this possible? If yes, could you give me clear instructions on how to do this? I have been looking thru Tek-Tips and it looks like it is possible I just did not understand how as I’m fairly new to the software and have not had much training other than basic administration.

Decided not to add these to the “change paging loudspeaker” table as we did not want these tornado alarm to should when someone does an All Zone page.

Other configuration considerations are welcomed as well.

Thanks
