Calender freezing Outlook 2000

I have a shared calender within my outlook, whenever i go to delete appointments the machine freezes and i have to reboot.

The calender is shared with 2 other users who are not using the it at the time and neither of the 2 users had created any appointments. Also this is also not a global calender.

Had they been working in the past?
Do they work for the other two users?

Have you tried starting with the /cleanfreebusy or /cleanreminders options

Don't know if this will help at all but it does clean and regenerate the Calendar's Free/Busy data and the Reminders data.
