Calendars do not jibe

We are using Project 2002, with collaboration in Project Center on the web. We are still trying to work out the bugs but one thing is puzzling. The administrator has set up two calendars in Project Center, the Standard and the Company calendars, both are set to the same thing, 8:00-5:00, 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week. In my project, in Tools > Options > Calendar I have the same thing. The resource. In Project > Project Information the Standard calendar is chosen. The resources are assigned the Standard calendar also by default. When I publish the Project with the assigned tasks to the web the time is correct where I have indicated 1 day duration, the time is set to 7 hours, but the duration is changed to .88 instead of 1 (for 1 day)or 1.31 instead of 1.5 for a day and a half. Do you think the Standard calendar is the web part Project Center is really not accepting the changes made? Any thoughts on the problem are appreciated.
