I have a customer who is interested in purchasing sbs 2003 mainly because of the collabaration possibilites of Exchange. Currently, users have pop3 accounts hosted by a isp and use outlook 2003 to download mail directly from the isp. If after creating mailboxes on the exchange server and using the pop3 connectors on exchange to download mail to each mailbox, would all the functions of exchange eg. shared calendar be available to the end users? If not, how would I go about it?

Yes - all other features would work, but you'd be a lot better off if you did away with POP3 entirely. No need for it with Exchange, and you'll save bandwidth by getting rid of it.

As for you set things up, that's something you're going to need to read about. It's not something we can easily describe in a sentence or two.
