Formermarine did you ever find a resolution to this? I'm having the same error with one of my users. Thanks.

Problem
You receive the following error message in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager when attempting to synchronize with the Microsoft Outlook Calendar.

Unable to get Data from an Outlook or MS Exchange Record. Lack of network access to MS Exchange Server can cause this problem.

Cause
If you are synchronizing with a public calendar, you might not have access rights to the calendar.

Resolution
Ensure that you have access rights to the calendar. To perform this task, complete the following steps:

In Outlook, browse to the public folder with which you are attempting to synchronize.
Click Calendar.
Create a new appointment.
Delete the new appointment.
If you receive a permissions error while trying to complete steps 4 or 5, you do not have access rights to the public folder. Contact your system administrator to request the appropriate access rights to the folder.
Cause
The desktop manager does not have the proper connection to your Exchange server.

Resolution Summary
Perform one or all of the following resolutions:

Ensure that the default connection state for Outlook is set at Connect with the network.
Verify that new mail is not being delivered to a personal folder.
Create a new Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) profile, and configure Intellisync® to use the new profile.
Resolution

On your desktop, right-click the Microsoft Outlook icon and click Properties.
Click the Delivery tab.
