Hello,

I am using MS Project 2000. I am having trouble getting the bar tasks on the Calendar view to display all text.

Most of the tasks we are tracking are 2 or 4 hrs in length. On the Calendar, this means that most of the tasks are displayed as a single box w/ whatever text will show up in that space (mostly just the first two characters). Any tasks of at least 1 day are displayed fine.

I've gone through all the settings I can and there does not seem to be anyway to manually resize the text. For example, clicking 'Wrap text in bars' under 'Format|Bar Styles' kept the width but made the tasks really tall. Not helpful. Even being able to see half the text would be useful.

Is this a limitation of the Calendar view? I'm exporting manually to Outlook as a temp (painful) solution. Please advise!

Thanks,

Tony

View | Calendar

Place your cursor on the divider between, say, Sunday and Monday. The cursor will change shape.

Drag the divider as far right as you want.

The verticle scroll bar (on the right) will move between weeks and the horizontal scroll bar (on the bottom) will move between days.

Format | Timescale will let you decide what date information you want to display and how you want to display it.

(A task with a two hour duration? Sounds to me as if you're using Project to do production scheduling.)
