Very strange error,

we have a client who uses ex2003 for their mail, it was working fine with syncing but recently some users have noticed that when their phones sync with the ex2003 server calendar appointments star disappearing from their outlook clients

all service packs are installed on the server and client machines

their was an error on the exchange server about the activesync which pointed me to the kb article 'kb905013' which suggested a firewall issue, i'm trying to see if that will resolve it but so far no luck,

i'm stumped, any ideas?

they're not all recommended."

how are the phones set up? activesync? Blackberry? Manual or over the air?

the phones are HTC and sync over the air to the exchange server, i assume it is using the active sync on ex2003 as that seems to be giving the error in the event logs

what is the error in the event log? Running SP2? Got latest Windows updates?
