We are a new Lotus Notes 7 users.
All staff in my organisation have been given view only access to everyones calendar. It appears they can also look at other members of staff mail entries related to the calendar. Is there anyway of stopping the mail access while leaving the calendar viewable to all.
Staff think they are accessing other peoples email which of course they are not. Our IBM support people do not seem to have the answer - any ideas anyone?

As you point out they are not actually reading their email, but it may look this way.

Perhaps it would be a better idea to give them shortcuts on their workspace to only the calendars of the other people, or have them open the calenders by going to their own calender and choosing the option 'Open Another Persons Calendar' from the menu option, this way they should have no need to go into the mail file of the person and think they are seeing emails.

Have your people done the Basic Course in the Notes Training Curriculum ? Have they at least had an hour with a certified instructor ?

Pascal.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.
