Hi

I've a simple query which provides data to a graph which I would like to embellish. The underlying table supplies the date and a simple count. The query should work on this data producing a running sum. In essence all I want to do is subtract a number from the previous record from a number in a different field in the current record and place the answer back into the original field in the current record.

Can anyone please help.

Best Regards

David W.

see thread701-101152 for a simple example of retrieving the 'previous" record for use in a calculation. There are other (better) examples, but if you can understand this one you should be able to get what you want.
