Calculation inside a group footer

I want to do a calculated field inside a report. for example

One of the group footers contains these fields

1)Total Transport Amt 2)Total Sunrate amount.

Now i want to add the third field - Savings which is the difference between the above two fields. How can i do it in the group footer with out having to go back to record source.

Is it true that we could do some text calculation for this like text 93 - text 92 or something like that. Where to find the text nos for different fields in a report

In design mode of the report Right click on one of the required fields (Total Transport Amount) and then properties. Then select the tab 'Other' and the name of the field will be in the top field of the tab, or just look at the far left of the formatting toolbar.

once you have both field names it's just a case of putting another text box on the report in the required place and typing =[fieldname]-[fieldname] into the box.

Don't use names like "text 93 - text 92" in expressions. Do yourself a favor and rename the significant controls so your report is self-documenting. Try naming your text boxes
txtTotalTransportAmt
txtTotalSunrateamount
Then your new text box will have a control source of:
=txtTotalTransportAmt - txtTotalSunrateamount
