Below is a snippet of a pivot table that I have in excel. The total column is just that, a total of the three columns for month 01. What I want to do is change it from a total to a calculation such as Internal/(Internal+External). Is there a way to change the total to a calculation?

Note: the printed column is there for reference only. Is not/should not be used as part of the calculation.

It is said that God will give you no more than you can handle. I just wish God didn't think I was just a bad ass.

Hi,

The short answer is that there is a way in PIVOTTABLE TOOLS > ANALYZE > Calculations > Fields, Items & Sets, where you can create a Calculated Field.

That may or not be adequate. I rarely do calculations like this in a PT. Rather I'd create my own pivot of sorts using the SUMPRODUCT(), SUMIFS(), COUNTIFS() functions to calculate there fields. I prefer the former to the two latter.

Thanks a ton SkipVought. This has put me in the right direction.
