All,
I am working in Excel and am wondering if it is possible to only add cell values together where the number (value) is in a certain font color. Is there a way to write an epxression or do conditional formatting for this?

For example, I have 10 cells with different values. 5 are in blue and 5 in red. Instead of the 11th cell =A1+A2 etc all the way up to A10, can I do it for the 5 cells that have values in red font? When I change a 6th value to red, the sum changes?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Monte

Not without some VB subroutines.

Is there some logic behind why cells are colored the way they are? If so, then use that same logic in a formula to decide which cells to sum.
