I have the following data in a crosstab:

Area 1 Area 2 Area 3
Company A Satisfactory Good Satisfactory
Company B Good Good Satisfactory
Company C Outstanding Good Outstanding

Count: 66.7% 100% 33%

The codes in the the Summarized Fields has a summary of Mode. The count is based on the count of all Good & Outstanding against the total no of codes for each Area. How can I do the percentage cound for the codes?

Thank you.

Create a formula to count the records. Create another to count the Good and Outstanding ratings by area. Total the Good and Outstanding Counts. Then divide the third by the first.
A - Total count of companies = Count(NameofFieldwithCompany)
B - companies with rating good or outstanding =
If mode = "Good" or mode = "Outstanding" Then
1
Else
0
Put formula B into the detail of the report and suppress it.
C - Total of Good/Outstanding = Sum(B)
D - C / A * 100
Put formula D into the report and format as a percentage. You may have to remove the * 100.

Hi Laurie

Thanks for your reply.

I need the count of Good and Outstanding in a crosstab and it is there that I am struggling. The various areas need to be in the columns of the crosstab and the the customer's satisfactory level, eg good, outstanding needs to be in the summarized field as it's actual value, ie good, outstanding. Then I need to do a percentage count of the number of goods and outstandings against the total response in each area. But I can't seem to be able to display the customer's satisfactory level as it is and do a % count of it.

Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Are there really just three areas? It would be simpler to do a manual crosstab in this case--if there aren't a lot of areas.
