I have a time card query that calclulates time and then multiplies it by a rate. It works great, except for when there is a rate increase.

If I have two or three records multiplied by one rate, I get the correct sum total, but if I have a new record that has a new rate, it only calculates the newest rate and drops the total.

ExtendedPrice: Sum(NZ([RegHours])*[ShopRate])

Any ideas on how to have more than rate calculate correctly.

TIA

Glen - I'm guessing this has something to do with the 'group by' that you're using with the sum. Can you post some sample data and the group by part of the query?

Nevermind, I see you double posted and a solution was provided by BNPMike.
