I have a time card query that calclulates time and then multiplies it by a rate. It works great, except for when there is a rate increase.

If I have two or three records multiplied by one rate, I get the correct sum total, but if I have a new record that has a new rate, it only calculates the newest rate and drops the total.

Any ideas on how to have more than rate calculate correctly.

TIA

Ah the pain of real systems.

You're going to have to add a table of rates and the date spans they cover. You need to join to these (not entirely trivial) and pick up the correct rate for each record.

After that its hunkydory [tongue]
