Calculating Business Days Between Dates

I need to be able to determine the number of business days between two dates. Is there a function in DB2 that can be used to do this? Holidays are another issue... I only want to calculate the number of actual work days between dates. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi mapatterson,

I don't believe that there is a function to do this, but I could probably come up with a pretty complicated bit of SQL to do it. If you're interested let me know.

The service department at my work demanded about the same type of calculation. I created a calender file ommitting weekends and other holidays. I gave each record a counter, so calculating working days is just a matter of subtracting two integers.
Do not try to solve this SQL-wise, it is the hard way.....
