Calculated fields do not update when copied/pasted to another pdf

In Adobe Acrobat Prof., I set up total fields to calculate two columns across. For example COL1ROW1 + COL2ROW1 equals TotalROW1 and COL1ROW2 + COL2ROW2 equals TotalROW2. I used simple notation; I do not know javascript. This works fine for TOTAL_NorthTexas.pdf but when I open another pdf file (TOTAL_CentralTexas.pdf) and copy/paste the calculated fields nothing happens. The fields retain their prvevious value.

Both pdf documents have the same field names so TOTAL_CentralTexas.pdf has the fields COL1ROW1, COL2ROW2, etc. I do not understand why the fields do not update automatically.
