I have a series of calculated fields on a form that automatically work out VAT and Commission. It works beautifully accept it does not record the generated result in my table. Hence i cannot run queries on the calculated data....

Help Please

Why don't you add those calculated fields to your queries also?? It's not good practice to store calculated fields in your table because if the source fields are updated, the calulated ones are not automatically updated to reflect those changes......

Hi!

You should be able to do the same calculations in a query that you are doing on the form, so there is no need to store the data. If you right click on an empty field box in the QBE grid, you can choose builder in the pop up menu.
