I am having a problem reading Balance, Dollars,( calculated fields) in checks etc. Is there any wayt to change the font or make it bold. Any help would be great.
I am printing accounts payable checks, payroll checks etc, but it happens in all calculated fields in Peachtree Complete Accounting 8.0. I don't know what a crystal report is.
Open the form by highlighting the specific form in your list and selecting DESIGN from the tool bar.
Right-click the amount field and select Font.
Select Bold under Font Style
Click OK
Be sure to SAVE your changes by clicking on the SAVE button from the tool bar
If this is a standard form you are changing you will need to give the form a new name before you save it
If this is a custom form you can use the existing filename.
I have done that already and the print on the check itself is bold. But it is on the screen before I print that is the problem. I can read the entire form on the screen, except the calculated fields. The printed checks are fine.
Give me an example of one of the forms you are using. What is the form name? Does zooming in help at all? Is there an amount appearing at all in the field?
Click Tasks in the upper menu. Then click on payments. What you see is a picture of a check. All the fields can be read easily except the 2 calculated fields. One is the box above the word " DOLLARS" on the check. The other is the box to the right below the word balance. Both of these boxes are just barely legible. With the magnifier I can just make out the amounts. This also happens in payroll checks.
These fields (Dollar Amount and Cash Account Balance) are purposely grayed out. These are fields you cannot change, therefore, Peachtree grayed out the fields. Unfortunately, we can't change the font style for these fields.
thanks blueboyz
Its funny, i have been using peachtree for 15 years and never had this problem. all of the sudden I could not read the fields. I am thinking I must have changed something but do not know what.
You couldn't have changed those fields. They are hard coded. You could try changing your color scheme for the Peachtree windows under Options, Global, General Tab.
