calculated categories and macro code

Dear forum members,

We want to load the calculation rules for calc. categories in the powerplay transformer from a database system, because these rules change over the time. To avoid manuel adaptation I am looking for the makro code, which is needed to modify the formular in a category. I have never worked before with makro code .....

Can you provide me with an example?

First of all, find *.mac files in cognos directory. You will find sample.
Show a documentation on macro too and I think you can start a project with this.
After this, if you will have a particular question and I will enjoy to help you.

Thanks, gilles. I took a look in the mac documentation but have problems with the code to specify a single category. so I am stuck in the very beginning.....

My particular question:
What detail code do I have to put in a mac file, to modify the calculation rules of a category named "example" on the first level of a dimension named "testdim"? A short script (maybe with comments) would be very usefull to understand it with my non existing object orientation programming know how.

I hope, that someone is joining to help me know.
