Calculate Running Total

Hello,

Using crystal XI
I have created a report that looks at the time patients enter the OR and the time they come out. I have grouped this report on the patient's out of room time. We are trying to get a count of the rooms that we have running at a particular time for staffing. From 7:00am to 3:00pm we can run 16 rooms. after 5:00pm we can run 8 rooms, and after 7:00 we can run 5 rooms. I have a running total that give me the count of the cases in each group. My report looks like this:

Is there a way in crystal to only count the cases that occur after the 3:00 hour and later.

Hello,


I'm guessing that you are trying to get the no. of rooms for times between 7am-3pm then 3pm-7pm and 7pm - 7am

if you are looking for no.of rooms after 3pm then you can use the formula in the running total


When you go to create running total wizard under Evaluate -> Use a Formula

In this you can write the formula like time(outdate ) > 15:00

Thank you for responding. Are shifts changes at 3,5,7 The final results that I am expecting are:

3:00
11 rooms

5:00
8 rooms

7:00
5 rooms

You do the same like I mentioned earlier


Use the time periods in the formula

For 7am - 3pm shift

You use formula in the running total like

outtime >7am and outtime <3pm

same for others
