Calculate Business Hours

Hello Forum Experts,

I'm using SQL Server 2005. I need to calculate the business hours between two dates for two departments.

Here are the scenarios:

for customer service: business hours are 8am - 6pm excluding Saturday and Sunday

for tech support: business hours are 8am - 10:30pm including Saturday and Sunday

Can you please tell me if this can be accomplished. Your help/suggestion is greatly appreciated.
