Hi,

I have some data which is sorted by a code (usually comprises of a letter of the alphabet followed by two numbers), e.g. E80. The code refers to an item. I have imported the data into and Excel spreadsheet.

I need a formula, or macros, so that it will calculate the price of the item depending on the code (and perhaps help me compare it to another column of values, highlighting the ones which don't match?). My VB language is rubbish, so I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out here, or am I in the wrong forum?
Thanks,

Blyss
