I've got a Cajun P880 Chassis with a M5500R-SUPA Supervisor card. The root password has been changed on the supe card. Does anyone know how to find out the password, reset it to default, or clear the nvram??

Thanks....

Did you ever get an answer to your question, I lloking for the same info.

Here is the procedure.
NOTE: you will need physical access to the box and a serial console connection.

1) Power Off the Unit
2) Hold down the display button
3) Continue hold display button while powering up unit. (Wait about 30 secs or so)
4) The unit will boot into boot code.
5) the prompt will say Boot>
6) at the boot prompt type initLogins set 1
7) then type reset
8) the username and password have been set to root and root.
9) once the unit reboots you should be able to login and change the the username and password.

the initLogin command may be different depending on the version of boot code.
