CaI reconfigure an external www sharepoint site to a new IP/Name

At this time, I have my MOSS silos running on an external IP Address.

I need to find out how to modify if not change that external IP within Sharepoint to a new external IP Address?

Once completed, will I be able to still reach each sub site within my MOSS main silo?

If this is not possible, what is my best option?


We even thought about reinstalling MOSS 2007. However, I need to make sure I can bring back the origional farm.


Is this possible?
