I am importing data from an external storage device to my server and while some of the files are being created the file attribute is changed from 'Archived' to 'Read-Only', this happens only to some of the files. . .each time it happens i have to search for the file and change it manually, then restart my imports.

Why does this happen? can anyone help me???

Is it similar to the problem that usually involves CD-ROM? If so, then that solution mentioned here may work for you?
