Hi All,

I recently switched to a company that uses AutoCAD Lt. All of my previous experience was with Solidworks and CadKey. With CadKey I was very fast with the hotkeys for drawing and dimensioning.

It does not look like Autocad uses hotkeys, or just not efficiently. I tried using the command line but still I have to click with my mouse down on the command line area, enter the command, hit enter and then still go through the popup menus with my mouse.

How can I get back to my beloved hotkeys?

Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Hi mrfoulkes,

I'm not an AutoCAD LT user, but look into "command aliases" in the help file. Full blown AutoCAD uses what's known as a pgp file, this is nothing more than a text file which will map keystrokes to internal AutoCAD commands.
