Hello

I am an Electrical/HVAC contractor and use Auto Cad 14 mostly as a hobby I was wondering if there is a market for guys like me to do cad contract work for architects I'm talking about doing E sheets only panel sch., light loads title 24 etc.

Thanks
Great Site!

There may be a market but there are a few things to consider. First, in some states such as California (noticed the Tiltle 24 reference) you a required to be a registered engineer to get the drawings and calculations thru plan review and code checks. Second if you are not very efficient with cad you may be spending too much time for the money you are making also some clients are extremely demanding and changes to drawings need to be done quickly and accurately and the phrase"I dont have enough time" is unacceptable to these clients and you may lose future work from them. third get a down payment and hold the drawings until you are payed in full it is your only bargaining chip.(I have been burned before)I work for an engineering firm and we have been through it all. Hope this helps.
