Cached Exchange Mode

I have over 30 users with laptops who use Pop3 to get their email. They connect either by dial up or by lan. My question is I've been thinking about using the Cached Exchange Mode instead of Pop3. Can Anyone tell be the pros and cons of this type. Thanks
