We do our own cabling for the systems that we deploy, that way the whole system is warrantied by us and up to our standards. Yet, we have many customers who insist on having someone on their staff, (electrician or maintenance person) run the cabling to save money, and of course the sales rep lets them do it to get the sale. I just rewired a country club this year that the main trunk of 24 cables where ran over a steam pipe my their staff.
I have developed a layout using Visio, that would do just fine for someone who knows what they are doing, but also I would like to be able to point these people to a website or print out of some wiring basics, that they think they know, but I need to be sure. I know of the major sites, but the question is, can anyone point me to a basic site with a list of 10 things not to do or something like that. Thanks. I've been surfing off and on all morining.
