Cable Types

Just wondering if anyone had any links to sites with some good info on different cable types.

I'm after a particular type but don't know what it is. I only know what the port looks like which it plugs into...heres the description:

One end looks like a normal RJ45 plug except it is slightly smaller and only has 6 pins instead of 8. The other is a normal phone port (UK BT Phone).

I think the 6 pinned end is called RJ12 but I'm not sure...the sites I've visited so far have been a bit vague.

Any help is appreciated
