I am confused with what type of cable is required to hook a NIC card to a Cisco 2501 IEEE 802.3 10 Base T MAU. Do I use a straight through cable or a crossover cable. Also, what would be the best way to test the communciation between Windows NT Workstation 4.0 SP6A and the Cisco 2501 router.

Many Thanks,

Robert

Cross-over - it's considered a hub to hub connection.

The best way to test between the two is to ping across from one to the other !!!
