Cable Runs - How far is far? 1

What is considered the maximum cable run lenght? I've got a Magix switch located on the 2nd floor of an office with a total of 80 extensions. 40 extensions need to move to the 11th floor. I don't know the distance yet but I'm thinking I don't need a calculator to figure this one out. Can one of you enlighten me?

Maximum is 1000 feet

Consider about 10 Feet per Floor, thus, the Up & Down is about 90 Feet between 2nd floor & 11th floor.

Therefore, it should be a non-issue.

TDL extensions, with 24 or 26 gauge, 3000 ft. max
TDL extensions, with 22 guage, 5000 ft. max

Sinlge Line Extensions with 24 or 26 guage:
016 Tip/Ring 1000 feet
OPT Tip/Ring 18,000 feet
016 ETR, Last 6 ports programmed as Tip/Ring 3000 ft.

Yes, those are the "NEW" specs they came out with when the MAGIX was introduced as I recall.
