I have not done much reading on the subject, but I was wondering, is there a huge difference with cable modems. I currently have a Toshiba PCX2500 working with a Netgear RT314 Router. I have 2 pc's home networked and internet decreases when both pcs are on line. Not sure if its modem related and/or router related.
I currently have Earthlink high speed internet, this is the other part where I get confused, I pay it through my cable (Time Warner) which I thought was RoadRunner. So I am not really sure which service I should have or am supposed to have.
Thanks in advance.

What do the technical support resources for your cable providers tell you when you ask them these questions?

Surfinbox.com Business Internet Services - National Dialup, DSL, T-1 and more.

I have not spoken to anyone. I am waiting for a response.

Hi All,

I am very new in all the internet things mean how to connect to the internet etc. I just took the DSL Connection in Germany. I make all the connections with ethernet, splitter, modem and PC. In the Modem all the three light
are green. But still i am getting the message "There was no responce". I checked my internetOptions also and this is set to LAN. I all ready wasted two night just doing all this thing. I know all the information with is not enough to find the propbem but please suggest me what to check.
I am using Win2000.

Regards,
Amar
