Cable Modem/Router

Can anyone tell me whether or not a cable modem/router will be sufficient to setup cable internet at home?

The one that i am looking at is the Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless Access Point router. It says it is a cable modem as well.

Should I use a separate modem and router? If so, what brands do you suggest?
