The cable company changed something and now all workstations applications are processing at 10mbps. Before they changed something, applications were fine and internet speed fine. We have a Windows 2000 server, xp workstations, and cable modem all connected to 10/100 hub. When we take the cable modem off the hub, all programs run at fast speed, but if we connect the cable modem all programs are slow slow slow. What hareware or software can we use to run both at the proper speeds?
Thanks for any help

what you need is a switch. With a switch, every port will run at fastest possible speed.

With just a hub, then entire hub has to run at the same speed.
