What is the chemical content and fire performance differences between OFNP, OFNR and LSZH cables ? I thought OFNP cable must also be LSZH. I am confused !

Why would you need to know the chemical content?
If you are working in a plenum area, you must install plenum rated cable, and that does NOT mean LSZH here in the US.
LSZH is not recognized by the NEC for cable insulation in plenum areas.
For copper communications cable see NEC 800.50
For optical fiber see NEC 770.53
Studies that I read years ago showed that Low Smoke Zero Halogen did not perform as expected.

I saw catalogues of many cable vendors. It mentions three types of jacket ; OFNP, OFNR and LSZH. I was aware of only OFNP and OFNR but not sure about the application of LSZH. With respect to fire safety is OFNP better than OFNR ? If yes, can we use OFNP cable in riser area also ?

READ 770-53
Yes you can substitute OFNP in place of OFNR but not visa versa.
Questions like this are code questions and should be made after reading the National Electric Code.
There is a chart of substitutions in the code book in the sections I have mentioned, follow it.
Anytime you have a question about a safety issue, which fire rating is, ALWAYS check the code book.
These type of issues I would not rely on someones opinion, unless of course he is the actual inspector you are dealing with.
