What are the purpose of the different cabling configurations, CO-AXIAL, UTP, STP AND FIBER-OPTIC.
Or could you suggest a web site where I could get the info from.

The purpose of a cabling system is to provide a structured wiring solution which will serve your needs both in connectivity and applications. The cabling that you would select would depend on your bandwith requirements, area to be served and number of users.
