First of all, i am not technologically advanced when it comes to terms so please forgive, but we are using a hot-swappable drive back-up system. We have 8 ATA 133 drives in trays w/ frames. 2 of the drives work all of the time they are our C: and our D: (where we back-up). We have 4 frames in the enclosure. Only the top frame works w/ certain trays. It works w/ all drives in those particular trays. We have sent back 3 tray and frames 2 times. We know that all drives work correctly. The problem that we have is that when those drives are in the 3 tray & frames the green light comes on (assuming power) but windows 2k does not recognize. Could we have a cable problem? We have a 24" ATA 133 ODE Cable w/ 3 connectors (motherboard, master and Slave) The master works w/ certain frames but we haven't gotten the slave to work in awhile.

PS we had a bad UPS a few months ago that just got replaced recently.
