3.2 FUNCTION
The command is used to initiate a radio channel selection key at a radio panel by assigning a radio channel to the key. After initiation, the radio channel identity of the radio channel will be displayed in the corresponding display window of the radio panel, and the radio channel can be selected by the operator for reception and/or transmission.

3.3 EXAMPLE
Initiate radio channel selection key number 3 by assigning radio channel directory number 153 to the key. Radio panel directory number is 123.

6.2 FUNCTION
The command is used to remove the radio panel of a CTT position. It releases the linkage between the radio panel directory number and the equipment position used for audio and signal communication between the radio panel and the switch. It also releases the allocated data records in the switch.

Prior to this command, all radio channel selection keys must be ended by means of the RKCKE command.

7.1 FORMAT

EQU1 = Equipment position. Defines the equipment position of the main voice multiple for the radio panel of a radio position. The multiple is used both for reception and transmission to/from the radio panel.

The equipment position for the auxiliary connection of a radio panel is denoted EQU2, used for central voice recording and enslavement. EQU2 is automatically assigned depending on which type of ELU board is used and value of parameter TYPE (type of terminal).

OPCAT = Operator category. The operators are divided into categories having different capabilities regarding radio functions they can access.

The command is used to initiate a new radio panel in the system. It establishes the linkage between the radio panel directory number and the equipment position required for audio and signal communication between the radio panel and the switch.

7.3 EXAMPLE 1
Initiate a radio panel with radio panel directory number 102 and radio position identity SECT3 to the equipment position corresponding to board individual 0 in LIM 1, magazine 0 and board position 41. Type of terminal is CTT with voice recording, operator category is 5, main voice channel attenuation is 1 and auxiliary voice channel attenuation is 2.

The parameter states a connection between a radio panel and a radio equipment, the switching control procedure uses this attenuation factor. The factor range is 0-7 in steps of 3dB, ranging from -6dB to +15dB.

The parameter states a unique directory number for a radio channel connected to the system. Radio channels are numbered in consecutive order from 001 up to the maximum number of channels in the system.

The radio channel directory number shall be 123.

The parameter states the operator's authority to remotely switch the radio encryption on/off. This capability is reflected in the operator category parameter which is assigned to a radio position when the radio panel is initiated.

7 ENSLC Enslavement capability
7.1 FORMAT

7.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the operator's authority to enslave other radio positions. This capability is reflected in the operator category parameter which is assigned to a radio position when the radio panel is initiated.

It shall be possible to initiate enslavement from this radio position.

8 Equipment position
8.1 EQU1 FORMAT



8.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the system position for a radio panel.

Specific restrictions and rules exist for the EQU1 parameter, depending on which type of ELU board is used and what type of terminal that is connected:

ELU25 board: The ELU25 board is by default defined with 8 individual numbers (0-7). If the type of terminal is CTT without voice recording, EQU1 can be assigned to individual number 0-7. If the type of terminal is CTT with voice recording, the ELU25 board must be defined with 16 individual numbers (0-15) where individual numbers 8-15 are virtual individuals. EQU1 can be assigned to individual numbers (0-7) because the equipment position for the auxiliary multiple (EQU2) will be assigned to EQU1 individual + 8.

ELU28 board: The ELU28 board is by default defined with 16 individual numbers (0-15). If the type of terminal is CTT without voice recording, EQU1 can be assigned to individual number 0-15. If the type of terminal is CTT with voice recording, the ELU28 board must be defined with 32 individual numbers (0-31) where individual numbers 16-31 are virtual individuals. EQU1 can be assigned to individual numbers (0-15) because the equipment position for the auxiliary multiple (EQU2) will be assigned to EQU1 individual + 16.

8.3 EXAMPLE 1
In LIM number 5, a voice and signal channel between a radio panel and the switch is connected to an ELU25 in magazine 1, device board position 13, individual number 2 (the type of terminal is CTT without voice recording).

8.4 EXAMPLE 2
In LIM number 4, a voice and signal channel between a radio panel and the switch is connected to an ELU28 in magazine 0, device board position 20, individual number 4 (the type of terminal is CTT with voice recording).

The parameter states the addressing of the keys used for selection of a radio channel.

Radio channel selection key number 12 of a radio panel shall be addressed.

10 OPCAT Operator category
10.1 FORMAT
OPCAT= D 1 D 2
D 1 D 2 = 1-32 Operator category

10.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states an operator's belonging to a specific operator category depending on the capability of the operator to initiate the various radio functions of the system.

10.3 EXAMPLE
The operator category to be addressed is 10.

11 POSID Radio position identity
11.1 FORMAT
POSID= D 1 D 2 D 3 D 4 D 5 D 6 D 7 D 8
D 1 D 2 D 3 D 4 D 5 D 6 D 7 D 8 = 0-9, A-Z and slash (/) in any combination

11.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the unique alphanumeric designation of a radio position.

Dash (-) is not a legal character. If a space is wanted in the radio position identity, a slash (/) shall be used. The I/O terminal will not accept space as a legal character. The slash will be converted to a space on the panel and in the printout.

11.3 EXAMPLE
A radio position shall have the identity SOUTH66.

12 PREEM PTT pre-emption level
12.1 FORMAT
PREEM= D 1
D 1 = 1-6 PTT pre-emption level

12.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the capability of certain radio positions to pre-empt other radio positions' attempts to transmit on a radio channel. 1 is highest priority.

12.3 EXAMPLE
A radio position shall have PTT pre-emption level 5.

13.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the unique directory number of a radio panel. Radio panels should be assigned numbers in consecutive order from 1 and up to the maximum number of radio panels in the actual installation.

13.3 EXAMPLE
The radio panel directory number shall be 123.

14 RTSTC Radio test capability
14.1 FORMAT
RTSTC= D 1
D 1 = Y or N Y = the radio position shall have test capability
N = the radio position shall not have test capability

14.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the operator's authority to remotely test the radio equipment. This capability is reflected in the operator category parameter which is assigned to a radio position when the radio panel is initiated.

14.3 EXAMPLE
It shall be possible to initiate radio tests from a radio position.

15 SQCHC Squelch detection capability
15.1 FORMAT
SQCHC= D 1
D 1 = Y or N Y = the radio position shall have squelch detection capability
N = the radio position shall not have squelch detection capability

15.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the operator's authority to remotely switch off/on the squelch detection feature at the radio receiver equipment. This capability is reflected in the operator category parameter which is assigned to a radio position when the radio panel is initiated.

15.3 EXAMPLE
It shall be possible to control squelch detection from a radio position.

16 TRPWC Transmitter power level control capability
16.1 FORMAT
TRPWC= D 1
D 1 = Y or N Y = the radio position shall have transmitter power level control
capability
N = the radio position shall not have transmitter power level control capability

16.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the operator's authority to remotely control the transmitter power level. This capability is reflected in the operator category parameter, which is assigned to a radio position when the radio panel is initiated.

16.3 EXAMPLE
It shall be possible to control transmitter power level from a radio position.

17 TYPE Type of terminal
17.1 FORMAT



17.2 FUNCTION
The parameter states the type of terminal connected. Depending on what type of terminal is connected to an ELU25/ ELU28 board, equipment positions should be assigned in different ways. This is reflected in the type of terminal parameter, which is assigned to a radio position when the radio panel is initiated. For detailed information about how equipment positions are allocated, see 8 Equipment position in this document.

17.3 EXAMPLE
The terminal is a CTT without possibility of voice recording.
