CA Express, Win2k, Users and the Reset Button...

I'm at a loss here.

I've installed Client Access Express V5R2M0 to all Windows 2000 Workstations, and set up profiles for everyone to use the Emulator that came with CA400.

Just about all the workstations are with a "Normal (restricted)" user profile.

For some reason most of my workstations can't use the "Left Control" ([CTRL]) key when they need to reset the display (locks out or something). They only way they can reset is by using the popup keypad on a right-click and selecting "Reset" from there. Consdidering there is a lot of data entry going on here, I don't want the extra time it takes to use the mouse and make that work.

Does anyone know the magic trick to get this clients able to use the CTRL key to reset? Is it a permissions issue that I need to modify here?

Thanks for any insight.

All you need to do is remap the keyboard. Distribute the new kbd file to each workstation.

For some reason it works with stuff like field exit on the numeric keypad but I haven't seen it work with reset.

I have in my custom keyboard file:

Code:
KEY58=[reset]

I'll give it another shot tomorrow but I'm still thinking it won't work for some reason. Thanks for the help.
