hi,
what is the diff between cc & c89; which is better???

thanx

hi,

The cc compiler is the HP-UX C compiler. The c89 compiler is the HP-UX POSIX-conforming C compiler.

You can use 'c89' or 'cc -Ae' to develop your own program. HP recommendeds that you use 'cc -Ae' while porting sources from other Unix platforms. This enables some extensions which are good for interplatform compatibility.

good luck.
