I've read and read and read and nothing!
In a nut shell,
I've upgraded the OS and when I go into:
router-g#sho boot
BOOT variable = slot0:c7200-j-mz_111-20_ca.bin,1;
router-g#config t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
router-g(config)#boot system flash slot0:c7200-j-mz_111-31_CC.bin
router-g(config)#^Z
router-g#sho boot
BOOT variable = slot0:c7200-j-mz_111-20_ca.bin,1;
CONFIG_FILE variable does not exist
Current CONFIG_FILE variable =
BOOTLDR variable does not exist
Configuration register is 0x102
router-g#config t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
router-g(config)#no boot system flash slot0:c7200-j-mz_111-20_ca.bin
router-g(config)#^Z
router-g#sho boot
BOOT variable = slot0:c7200-j-mz_111-20_ca.bin,1;
CONFIG_FILE variable does not exist
Current CONFIG_FILE variable =
BOOTLDR variable does not exist
Configuration register is 0x102
So there is proof that I can't erase the old BOOT variable or add the new one... any ideas?
System image file is "slot0:c7200-j-mz_111-20_ca.bin", booted via slot0
cisco 7204 (NPE150) processor
Thanks,
