C0nverting MS-DOS Name to Full Name 1

Hi,

I am using the MS Access Scanning Tool from Micro$oft to scan servers at work for MS Access databases.

Rather helpfully the directory names in the filepaths are all MS-DOS names, not the full name as it appears in Explorer.

Does anyone know a way of converting these back to the full name again?

Or - if you've got shell32.dll version 5.0 or later (Windows Me, W2000, XP, W2003) - just add a reference to Shell Controls and Automation and use:

With New Shell32.Shell
Debug.Print .NameSpace("C:\progra~1").Self.Path
End With
