c programming with regexp

Does anyone have any good examples of syntax with regular expressions...I have looked at henry spencer's stuff, but it isn't that easy to gleen an example from. I have searched the net and have found NOTHING helpful.

Can anyone provide a tiny snippit of code taking me through the syntax to do a regular expression, once again using the regexp.h

You seem to be referring to a 3rd party regular expression package. Just giving the header file isn't really enough information, because it doesn't tell us which one you're referring to. Maybe if you provide some more information (a link to where you downloaded it, function prototypes for the package etc.) someone will be able to help.
