C# passing strings to MS Word Mail Merge database fields

I've not made use of Microsoft Word 'Mail Merge' before and have now been tasked with doing that from a data result set from C#.NET.
Can anyone point me to some code to start me off with things on this ?
I need to be able to pass strings to the 'database fields' as set in the MS word document mail merge document.

Any advice would be appreciated.
